I have some question regarding upgrade and install new package inside laragon environment.
There is a tutorial about how to add another version of this and that package, and it works, thank you for that.
My question (laragon wamp) how do we upgrade some of package via laragon terminal? I have try to upgrade yarn via terminal but instead of upgrade it inside laragon environment it installed globally outside laragon.
How do we install new version or upgrade vue cli 3 that already installed inside yarn folder?
Please share your knowledge, any help would be thankful.
First of all, thank you for these great tools and great community.
I'm looking for building a small chat for users in my web app with NodeJS, Socket.io and VueJS and would like to try out Cassandra or something similar.
After reading about databases for large chat apps, I now by the past how a MySQL database isn't enough when traffic hits and there a lots of queries per sec/min. If you have suggestions on a similar database that would fit my needs, that would be great to hear, because dispite the fact that Cassandra is efficient, I'm afraid running java on my server might crash it, my server isn't powerful. Can Laragon support new instalations and drivers for such databases ?
I use codeigniter 3.1.9 to do project. But there is a database problem. I can not completely turn off sql mode only_full_group_by. I used phpmyadmin to stop but after every reboot laragon, only_full_group_by mode is automatically turned on.
"Error Number: 1055
Expression #2 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'bigproject.site_log.access_date' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by"
I have multiple projects stored in the WWW folder but by default it seems as though I have to set the document root to be the WWW folder. I would like the document root to be per project and pointing to the public folder under each project folder. How can I achieve this please?
I get the Warning "Your PHP Version & Apache Version are not compatible" when switching to a PHP version with a different VC (i.e. PHP 7.1 VC14 x64 to PHP 5.6 VC11 x64). So I go and get the Apache version with the correct VC and everything works great.
However, my question is, can I make a script/some code that whenever I change PHP versions, it also changes the Apache version to the one with the same VC at the same time. At present, I can not switch PHP versions without getting that warning, followed by continuous "httpd.exe" error windows. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Previously I've used WampServer, and I never had to worry about different VCs, so I'm new to this type of management.
To recap, I can successfully change PHP versions (and Apache versions). Just not without warning and error windows popping up in the process when the VCs are temporarily not compatible.
I modified my 'C:\laragon\www\profitdigv2\public.htaccess' file and also my 'C:\laragon\etc\apache2\sites-enabled\xxxx.test.conf' file. The changes I made did not work--so I restored both of those files back to their original form, removing any changes that I had made. Now every time I try to access 'profitdigv2.test/login' URL, I get a 403 error, as shown here:
So I guess my question is...are there other files I need to modify beyond just the .conf and .htaccess files that I modified with to get this working again?
I tried manually changing the existing .conf and .htaccess files to match the text found in a "fresh laravel application". I used Laragon to create a Quick App --> Laravel and then grabbed the text inside .htaccess and .conf, then pasted that text into the profitdigv2 versions of those files. Then I modified the 'default' text to be specific to this particular project. Here are the contents of the files:
Also I tried editing the permissions on the public folder (using windows permissions), and that had no impact. I compared the permissions to a fresh installed app, and everything seemed identical. Then as a hail mary, I went into terminal and changed the permissions using chmod--which also had no effect on the outcome.
Any thoughts on what else I can do differently? Thanks.
I have been using Laragon while working through a WordPress course for a while. This is my first experience using Apache, WordPress, etc. Everything has worked well to this point, but after upgrading Laragon to 3.3.3 today, all I can access is the Laragon welcome page (giving the Apache and PHP versions). I tried changing back to VC14 on everything, rebooting Windows twice, changing the port from 80 to 85 to 8080, nothing works. Gulp, which was working great before, also does nothing now.
I searched through the forum before posting. I am bummed because this is the first day all week that I have had any time to work on my site.
[EDIT] Tried many things after continual searching for WordPress, Laragon, Apache related issues. Changed options in .conf files, in apache2/sites-enabled. No luck. Completely uninstalled Laragon and reinstalled after restarting Windows a fourth time. Created a fresh WP "Quick App" and again, it only serves the Laragon "Getting Started" page. Did the same with a Laravel install, same result.
First of all sorry my english , I'm not native speaker
Hi everyone ,
I have two Laravel projects from differents versions , one was made it in laravel 3 (PHP 5) and the other in Laravel 5 (PHP 7). I've both running in laragon , but in some point they have to communicate each other.
The problem is that I can't run both projects at the same time because they use differents PHP versions. I've tried to setup Apache with PHP 5 and Nginx with PHP 7 but they only recognize one PHP version.
Any idea of how to made this setup in laragon or other way to use different version of php at same time?
I\ve upgraded to Laragon 3.3.3 from 3.2 or something I guess. And I've updated PHP to version 7.2.8 but VC15 x64. But it is incompatible with currently bundled Apache Server so I tried to install httpd-2.4.29-Win64-VC15 but server is not running and throwing the following error.
I updating to laragon 3.3.3 that says mysql 8 already compatible with it. Then I tried to upgrade mysql either, I'm confidently follow your instructions as here.
It's just simply intalled, but after go there is no User table in Mysql database (as we known located in mysql.user).
So, everything I do in mysql syntax it will be counted for --skip-grant-tables. Yes, because I don't have any User even I can't create User anyway. I'm really needing your help about this.
Thank you for advance.
