Some apps require to set the public root folder in a subdirectory of site folder.
The quick creation of these apps requires an additional step , and so would be great if there was a way to pass a relative path (sth like "/app") from a site template and have it appended to documentRoot setting of Nginx/Apache..
Love the great work & effort you've been putting into Laragon!
Behind huge company proxies it can be difficult to use mail trap / send services as they generate traffic which is frowned upon by company IT.
But there's a locally available alternative to these online services, which can happily introduce chaos in to the connection as well. It's called MailHog https://github.com/mailhog/MailHog
It's got ready made windows binaries as well which can be configured by the command line or environment variables.
I don't presume to know how much work goes into on-boarding a tool like mySQL or any version of php for that matter, but It doesn't seem as the hardest challenge in the basket
It would be awesome if there was an easy way via the UI to add more domains for 1 app. This way especially when dealing with multisite WordPress installations we could add as many domains as we like to map them to that installation.
Currently the only way to do that is by manually editing the apache .confs + adding the domains into the hosts file.
Some times this is overwhelming as there are many "resets" going on between dev environments and everything has to be set up by scratch.
If this wouldn't be possible via UI, would there be maybe a different more "automated" process of doing it?
For example a script that would:
1] Setup a new app as "multisite"
2] Install WordPress
3] Bind extra domains on this app such as: multi1.test, multi2.test so on so forth ( so practically the hosts file + apache conf would be automatically updated as well to make this work ? )
It's my first time to post here... Just downloaded Laragon for local dev and in first attempt to create a wp project hit this...
Although I made the suggested correction to laragon.ini (from 2 other posts I saw about this error but for previous versions) didn't have the same results as posters...
Tried joomla also (after I modified quick app options according to online manual) but had same result...
I have put firewall rule by hand to permit curl.exe to communicate but seems curl doesn't even start...
I've tried time up to 10000 with no luck...
I'm on windows 10, 1809 if that matters...
I use two computers and I have both to core with laragon on my dropbox.
On one computer, My dropbox is in C, and on the other is in E, to be able to work.
Before I start working, I have two options
edit the nging enabled sites conf with my new path (each time i work on the other computer)
Create a symlink for a virtual disk on one of my computers with that command subst E: %userprofile%
This symlink creates a new virtual drive E, to my local C profile, where dropbox is synced.
With the symlink, Laragon can search files on E, when they actually are on C, but with this, i don't have to update my nginx conf file.
With all this i want to say, that i would be cool if I could add that command to a list of commands to be executed automatically by laragon when I start the program.
With Laragon, you can add projects and packages to the system with ease.
To make it even easier, Laragon provide "Quick app" and "Quick add" features.
However, some users had issues with downloading. From Laragon version 4.0.12 20190228, the issues were found and fixed.
Many thanks @fysioski for your time and dedicated supports.
Nice users like you are the reasons I keep making Laragon better.
Many Laragon's users will be grateful for your kindness.
I am trying to install ruby on windows but i get this error
ERROR: Loading command: install (ArgumentError)
unknown encoding name - CP720
ERROR: While executing gem ... (NoMethodError)
undefined method `invoke_with_build_args' for nil:NilClass
Here is what I did
Install laragon ruby
added php mysql nginx etc. for my other development purposes
make new folder in root
run this command gem install rails
And I got error above.
I thought maybe ruby doesn't come with laragon so I installed rubyInstaller and tried again.
And again I got same error.
I'm working with WHMCS and pulled the website down to Laragon (awesome!) but get this error;
"Site error: the ionCube PHP Loader needs to be installed. This is a widely used PHP extension for running ionCube protected PHP code, website security and malware blocking. Please visit get-loader.ioncube.com for install assistance."
How do I install it on Laragon? Any help/ideas please?
