@jarod51 : How about with other applications on Quick Create?
I've tested with Drupal 8, Laragon 2.1.0 and it works well.

    Thank you for answering

I tested many quick create options

    • Wordpress : ok
    • Joomla : nok (hangs at download)
    • Prestashop : nok (hangs at download)
    • Drupal 8 : nok (hangs at download)
    • Laravel : ok
    • CakePHP : ok
    • Symfony : ok

I've never seen the issue. Any picture when hanging?

Imagine your screen capture but with the progress bar at zero percent... forever :)

Do you retrieve archives by ftp ? if yes could it be a kind of passive/active connexion trouble ? but why is it working for Wordpress ?

Or perhaps a firewall issue on my side, but once more why is it working for Wordpress.

Or a download cache issue (permissions ?) ?

I also asked a friend of mine who uses Laragon to test the feature. It's not working for him too !

My OS is a Windows 7 64bits (freshly installed, no customization at all).

I guess your friend and you are using the same network.
In the meantime, you can download Drupal 8, put it to
    C:\laragon\usr\drupal-8.1.1.tar.gz

    Update the sites.conf configuration to:

    Drupal 8=C:\laragon\usr\drupal-8.1.1.tar.gz

The Quick create is very flexible and under your control :)

Ok, that's a solution. But for my information, how do you retrieve archives in Laragon ? FTP ?

    @jarod51: It's HTTP(s)

@leokhoa We have different network, different ISPs

Hmm, strange. I've tested many networks and never seen the issue.

@leokhoa when i grab the links and give it to a browser, the archives are well downloaded. Could it be possible that Laragon uses a port which could be firewalled ? (but what about Wordpress that works ???)

I suspect that the Drupal https link is redirected to ftp which is the diferent between Wordpress & Drupal links.
