Possibility to have a global php.ini file
Is there a way to have a global php.ini file that is included in all versions?
I have a multi-version PHP setup with Laragon 3.1.8, and for each new version, I edit the new php.ini directory to set certain INI settings back (max_execution_time for example). It would be great if we could have a /etc/php/php.ini file that is always included in addition to the default php.ini file.
Appreciate your time reading this and if you could shed a light.
RE: OPCache causing Apache to Crash
If you xdebug, you have to enable it after opcache (https://ayesh.me/xdebug-php-72-windows#troubleshoot)
RE: Add the selected PHP versions binary path to system PATH
@leokhoa wow that actually worked! I had to refresh environment variables. I don't know what we have done to deserve Laragon. it's that great!
Add the selected PHP versions binary path to system PATH
Thanks a lot for the awesome work once again. I use it every single day on all my WIndows setups, and made developing on Windows a lot easier.
Could I kindly request a feature that Laragon automatically updates system PATH variable so whenever you type
path, it refers to the same PHP binary set in the Laragon configuration?
RE: I installed xampp and then when I see my previous database schema's it was all lost
As long as the data directory remains intact, it should be OK. I think Xampp's mysql service started to listen to port 3306 first, and reserved it, so your application might have connected to the Xampp's mysql, not laragon's.
RE: PHP 7.2, drop-down menu extension enable/disable does not work
@leokhoa Thanks a lot! The new version works quite well!
PHP 7.2, drop-down menu extension enable/disable does not work
Thanks for everyones efforts in finally bringing a great development environment to Windows!
I'm trying to get PHP 7.2 to work well with Laragon.
PHP 7.2 windows builds are built with VC15, so I have downloaded a compatible Apache version from apachelounge, and have enabled PHP 7.2. It does work, but I can't get PHP extension enable/disable feature to work from the drop down menu.
PHP 7.2 has a new feature that it automatically detects the file extension of PHP extensions (.dll for Windows, .so for Unix-like), so the default php.ini file no longer has the file extension. I'm guessing this is the reason why Laragon can't detect the existing enabled extensions. Can we fix it so that if the PHP version is >= 7.2, Laragon parses the php.ini file without the file extension and add them without it too?
