I fixed it by increasing bucket size
the main question is why did this happen at all out of the blue?
So I've been using Laragon for 2 years now. I did not have any problems for at least 6 months now. Today just now without me changing anything in the environment or updating anything, I was working for 3 hours and upon a refresh of a page of the web app I'm developing with Laravel it takes longer than usual to load the page, so I do the routine thing and turn laragon off and then start it again so it restarts nginx and MySQL. Once I did that I got a message
Service nginx cannot start. Reason:
nginx: [emerg] could not build server_names_hash, you should increase_server_names_hash_bucket_size: 32
Nothing has changed in my dev environment, I just tried to reload the page after doing some changes in my template files of the app I'm developing, so why suddenly the above message? I thought restarting the machine would help, but it does not.
What can I do to get Laragon to work again with nginx? My web app is not loading anymore nor anything else.
phpunit - not found
vendor/bin/phpunit - 'vendor' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
./vendor/bin/phpunit - '.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I'm on win10 and so how can I run phpunit from the project directory?
For me I noticed real slow down in last 2 weeks but I did not understand why. I just switched to 7.1.21 and laravel app I am working with is now much faster. Just letting any future visitors know. Turning of xDebug in extensions for 7.2 did nothing to improve the speed.
I added php 7.2 and when I go to extensions laragon crashed every time. I made a video to show exactly what happens.
I am on win 10, and have on this machine been running 7.1 and just now also added 7.2 and switched to it. I did not have this problem with laragon before.
What could be wrong?
that did not do the trick, even after 3-4 tries, BUT restarting win10 did the trick!
thanks for wonderfull tool! Been a user for over a year or so now, no regrets
@leokhoa Hi Leok
how do I switch console version of php? First I was running 7.2 and right now i also installed 7.1
When I do:
even though I switched to 7.1 using Laragon's interface.
how do I force console to run 7.1?
I used to be able to send emails from my localmachine over a year ago and I belive at that time I was using laragon.
Now I am developing new app and I need to test sending email from my local machine however I get this error:
"Connection could not be established with host smtp.gmail.com [ #0]"
I've got everything configured correctly inside mail.php and .env
Is it possible to send email from Laravel using Laragon so I can test everything works?
I also tested this and it managed to send the email
Why cant my app send the email?
I did the last thing that came to mind my and that was restart the win10 and it seems that helped. I do not know why that helped, perhaps something got cached in windows it self and it needed restart. Now everything works and I settled with .oo for now. Thanks for offering to solve this via remote desktop, that is dedication!
Looks like your connection to Laragon was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
