I had a similar problem using two Laravel applications, where the main application was trying to find a table that actually belonged to the API. Both applications were separated with separate virtualhost, so the solution I found was to set up the database connection in database.php and remove from .env. Problem solved.

RE: Why you should use nginx instead of apache for laragon.
QuickApp Laravel new instead composer create-project laravel/laravel
For those who had this same doubt, my tip is.
Activating the Cache, just keep the original "composer create-project" command from laragon and install Laravel globally via Composer "composer global require" laravel / installer ".
From the second time you use QuickApp to create a new Laravel project, all files are read from the cache and you do not have to download everything again.
