I'm running Laragon 4.0 181114 using php 7.1.20. When I create a new Laravel project and try running it either using the suggested url e.g. http://test1.test I'm getting the Laragon front page not the Laravel one. This also happens when I use the www menu to run the project. Running an older project from the www menu works just fine. Using php artisan server the url opens the Laravel page fine. Any ideas?
I have some troubles about the .conf files of my virtual hosts in sites-enabled section.
Each time i try to create a fake server variable "SetEnv foo bar" in the .conf file, i reload the apache to apply the settings changes but, the file is reseted to a default .conf template without my foo variable.
I don't understand how and why it does this. I already reinstalled the laragon software (and tried an older version) but same behaviour ...
Could you help me about this problem ? Thank you by advance !
Hello, this is Paolo from Italy.
I've got a problem after Laragon installation (I've searched in other thread to solve my problem but I can't find issues like mine...)
I've installed Laragon in order to replace WAMP. After installation and trying to start all the services (Apache starts OK), it prompt the following message:
Service MariaDB can not start. Reason:
error: Found option without preceding group in config file: C:\my.ini at line: 1
Fatal error in defaults handling. Program aborted
I've checked the "my.ini" file then, and the first lines are:
My npm command is working fine.
So I executed the following command: npm install -g vue
And also installed successfully.
But after using the vue command, I received a prompt: vue: command not found
I searched a lot of information and said it was a problem with environment variables, but my environment variable already exists and ask for help.
Hi, when using CMSes, probably the best server to use to date is OpenLiteSpeed, because it is famous for its support for large amount of requests per second, memory caching and updating static and dynamic content. I hope this is possible.
What's crackin', folks
I switched from WAMPserver to Laragon like a month ago and so far I really love it. Simple, fast. I exclusively use it for Wordpress development and it does the thing.
Since I got a new laptop, I'm moving things around between my desktop, old laptop, and new laptop. When I migrated my databases from my old WAMPserver install, it pretty much didn't take any of them. I think only one or two sites's dbs got successfully imported and I figured I'd just rebuild as needed.
So, when trying to update and work on one site in particular, I just can't seem to get my production db imported. It seems like there's some kind of config difference between standard phpmyadmin installs on most hosting (and WAMPserver) and the default settings Laragon is using with phpmyadmin. I get the "Incorrect format parameter" error anytime I try to import a standard SQL file from another instance of phpmyadmin.
Backend isn't my strong suite so I'm in a bit over my head with this. I know this isn't strictly a Laragon issue, but has anyone here had weird issues with exporting and importing dbs to and from other phpmyadmin installs on WAMPserver or hosting company installs?
I'm working as WordPress trainer and would like to recommend Laragon.
But for beginners (and most of my trainees are real beginners!), there are 3 open points for me:
1.) Please make removing/deleting a project available as menu item!
(Manually deleting www folder + database + don't know about hosts etc. is too complicated for beginners. And after installing a WordPress site in Laragon is so easy, removing it should be easy too.)
... a really needed feature!!!
2.) Please make phpMyAdmin "1 click" available!
(The manual install works, but is also too complicated for beginners. HeidiSQL works, but for training I need phpMyAdmin which is pre-installed in most shared hosting environments.)
3.) "portable" seems a bit strange when using an installer which (Laragon 3.5) also demands a restart of the computer ... (How can this be portable?)
Maybe more information during the installation about which changes causes the demand of a restart?
And/or less installation dependencies and more self-contained, really portable run-time components?
Laragon wamp could surely be a better software if in the next versions DELETE heidisql. it doesn't help in anything. every time when we need to set up or change something in Laragon it crashes a lot.
Don't use heidisql anymore in laragon. PHPMyAdmin will be helpful a thousand times than heidisql.
