Just migrated from Wamp to Laragon. I have a few Wordpress sites and for some reason they keep running out of memory. Specifically getting a memory exhausted error. Both Wamp and Laragon are set to 512M and I never had this issue while using Wamp. Any ideas why this is happening and how to solve it?
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8790980389546 bytes) in E:\sites\test\wp-includes\functions.php on line 5231
@sunkast : I guess you are using different version of PHP. Try the same PHP version if you want to find the clue. Otherwise, just increase to 1024M.
I've been getting that a bit too, I think it's some type of memory leak in WordPress. I've been fixing it by just restarting Apache. WordPress 4.9.8 (released today) addresses it, I think. See https://make.wordpress.org/core/2018/08/02/wordpress-4-9-8/ and search for "memory leak"
This appears to be the effect of having the PHP opcache extension enabled on the latest build (Laragon Full 4.0.16)
I confirmed I had the same issue with a Wordpress project, and disabling Opcache php extension fixed the issue.
Thanks @aran112000 👍 i would never have found the issue..
