laragon needed nodejs for 64-bit
because node js laragon stands 32 bits, and does not work in npm 64 bits.
Sorry my English very bad (((
Laragon use 32-bit nodejs & npm for portability (to work on both 64 & 32 bit Windows). This is helpful when you move/copy Laragon stack to another 32-bit Windows with no worry.
If you prefer nodejs 64-bit you can install it yourself easily, just download (https://nodejs.org/dist/v5.11.0/node-v5.11.0-x64.msi) and install to C:\laragon\bin\nodejs
