sync two machines laptop desktop

I would like to edit my wordpress project seamlessly from laptop to desktop. (both are windows 10). I thought it would be as easy as syncing the whole C:/laragon folder (that should include database, wp content and wp theme) between machines, but i always get errors when trying to open website.test on the 2nd machine. any tips? is this even possible?
