Issue updating MySQL - which file?

I am using the portable version of Laragon and followed the instructions to update MySQL but feel I am doing something wrong?
By default, portable Laragon includes a folder mysql-5.1.72-win32, and the folder size is showing as 15.7MB.
I want to update MySQL to version 5.7.
I've tried downloading some of the mysql but they all seem to be 400MB+ or even 1.5GB+ in size.
Is this the correct place to get the download: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql?
Which version do I need?
Is there a smaller size version or a way to make it smaller?
Someone please help?
