Windows Creator Update: Port 80 blocked, all local sites 404

  • | 155 points

Just did a clean install of Windows. Went to Creators Update, which I didn't have before.

Installed Laragon, and Port 80 is blocked by PID 4 (System). No IIS, no SQL services, no Web Services running at all.

Further, if I change Laragon's ports, all my sites give a weird-looking 404 Not Found error.

I've Googled for two days straight and nothing works.

localhost:81 shows the php info, and localhost:81/phpmyadmin does work, but none of the sites in my root work at all.

Now I'm getting an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED on all my local sites.

Turned off antivirus and Windows Firewall. Reset DNS. All that. No luck!

@Matthew-Merendo : Open Terminal, then type:

    curl -iL localhost

Check the Server: information, you'll find out what is running on localhost

    My output:

    λ curl -iL localhost
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Server: nginx/1.12.0
    Date: Sun, 28 May 2017 02:42:36 GMT
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    Transfer-Encoding: chunked
    Connection: keep-alive
    X-Powered-By: PHP/7.1.1

Note: Laragon does not include phpmyadmin by default, to find out what is running on port 81, you just type:

    curl -iL localhost:81

I solved the problem by simply changing the port to 81
