What a fine development program Laragon is!
I have a WP site in Laragon. I have hosting at HostWinds. It's registered at PorkBun and the A-Records are pointed to my static server's IPv4 on Hostwinds.
However, When I try to browse to the site, instead I get the Laragon.Com page.
So where did I probably err?
I'm using Laragon 2.2.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and I would like to get Laragon to start automatically when the server is restarted. If it's of any further help I am using MariaDB (running on port 3306) and Apache (running on port 8000).
I have tried the following:
Switching on the following settings in Laragon:
"Preferences > General > Run Laragon when Windows starts"
"Preferences > General > Start All automatically"
However, Laragon does not start even after logging in via remote desktop.
Looking for Apache and MariaDB/MySQL in services.msc and setting the "Startup Type" to automatic, but I could not find any of these services?
I've also found I have to right click on Laragon and to run as administrator to get it to run properly, otherwise, I receive lots of errors once Laragon starts.
I followed your instructions here https://forum.laragon.org/post/4647 and managed to get WP-CLI working in Windows 10 locally with Laragon, however I tend to develop on WSL and it would be nice if I didn't have to leave my VS Code editor to run wp cli commands.
I have tried to install WP-CLI as per their instructions:
But when I try to run WP CLI commands I got this error:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_HOST in phar:///home/username/bin/wp/vendor/wp-cli/wp-cli/php/WP_CLI/Runner.php(1198) : eval()'d code on line 26
PHP Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): No such file or directory in /mnt/c/Users/xxx/xxx/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1612
Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): No such file or directory in /mnt/c/Users/xxx/xxx/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1612
Error: No such file or directory
So I installed mysql on WSL but now I get an access denied error Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' so I think I just have to somehow to the WSL WP-CLI to use the mysql version in the laragon folder, is that right?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks for such a great bit of software!
I got Laragon Full 4.0.15 and developing using Wordpress
unfortunately, when I go to check site health I receive the following error
Error: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
Happens when curl is trying to read something from wordpress and can trust the local issuer?
loving my Laragon experience, apart from one small thing. My changes do not show in Chrome unless I clear browser cache. I have no cache plugin installed, I never do while sites are in dev, so how do I get over this constant ctrl shift del cycle to clear my caches in Chrome? I did not have this problem with the last locahost app i used.
Hello, please i am having an issue creating the WordPress through the Quick App menu. It downloads but refuses to extract the file. And i get an error warning that says:
HI, I downloaded and ran the program last night. I was doing good until all of a sudden I had to login again, and now i am locked out. It does not recognize password or my email address now.
When it happened: i had installed wordpress, then 'all in one migrate plugin'. Just after i Imported my site, when i clicked the link to change permalinks, i had to sign in.
I had saved my password, it should have taken. I typed it several times as well.
What i may have done wrong? While downloading Website file. I was deleting excess images and folders from PhotoShop folders on my hard drive.
However, it looks like i accidentally deleted a few other things as well. I managed to get my Photos Folder back and what was on my desktop. While i looked in every folder first, it is possible i accidentally deleted one of yours?
I just started using Laragon yesterday to locally stage a clone of my existing Wordpress site. It's working great (SO much better than Local by Flywheel!), except for this one issue...
Background: I set up my Wordpress site files and database, change the mysql root user password (or not, I've tried it both ways), and I can access my site perfectly (Wordpress talks to the db and my site looks normal, I can access the database in the command line or phpMyAdmin, all good).
Problem: BUT if I restart my system (Windows 10), the database is no longer accessible: I get "database error" when I visit my local site, and mysql (via command line) and phpMyAdmin both return
"Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"
Things I've tried: I've uninstalled and reinstalled Laragon a number of times with various tweaks to try and troubleshoot this issue on my own. Here's what I've tried:
leaving the default (blank) mysql password
changing the mysql root password through command line
changing mysql root password through phpMyAdmin
setting the initial mysql password in my.ini
changing $cfg['blowfish_secret'] in phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php (just for the hell of it)
Note: anytime I change the mysql password, I change the wp-config.php to match.
Mysql is still accessible when I stop or exit Laragon, then start it back up again, as long as I don't reboot. But as soon as I reboot, mysql is no longer accessible.
Presumably, the root password is being changed during the reboot. Is this the case? Why is that? And what is the solution?
All's been fine until this morning when I get an MSQL error. .
A forum post suggested renaming data folder which I did. But now nothing is accessible, all my sites say Error connecting to database. Except a new one I created after the data folder reset which just says server not found. Database only contains the one site's database which is empty.
OK some progress. Returning to the original data folder now seem to enable access to my existing sites with no mysql error BUT I cannot create a new site - it creates the folder structure but only an empty database and gives a server not found error.
